How can you be an effective ally for people with disabilities? What do you do if someone discloses an accessibility need to you during an event that you’re leading? Students who attend this workshop will be able to: use appropriate language when referring to people with disabilities; practice basic skills for being a peer supporter; and respond to barriers when in a leadership role. This 1.5 hour workshop involves discussion, role playing, and skill-building exercises.
